So I may have just accidentally bought 5 Geforce 560TIs on Ebay. Don't ask. I get a little excitable around Ebay!

My motherboard supports SLI, Currently I have a core 2 quad Q9400 and a Geforce 460 (no overclocking) so I'm thinking of selling the 460 and 3 of the 560TIs and keeping 2 560Tis for SLI. The current power supply is definitely not up to the job.

My budget is: my wife is incredibly angry at me for spunking a load of money on 5 graphics cards I don't need!

There are quite a few Corsair CX750M power supplies on Ebay going cheap, refurbs under £40. I can probably persuade the missus that £40 isn't too much. It looks like it has plenty of amps, but only 2 PCI-e power connectors so I'd have to use 2 molex to PCI-e adaptor cables, which I'm a little wary of. 1, OK, 2 of them?

Thoughts?

If you can provide me a link to any of those power supplies for sale in the UK for under £40 I'll buy one right now! 2nd hand/refurbished is just fine.

I'm sorry, I've obviously explained myself very poorly. I already know that a good power supply like a Seasonic will power these graphics cards, that's kind of obvious.

My question was: I don;t want a good power supply because I'm only willing to spend £40. Will a £40 power supply work well enough, or am I wasting my time?

However I might have already bought an OCZ ZS650w on Ebay last night. It was only £21. It's a tier 2a PSU and on Hardwaresecrets they managed to pull 782 Watts from it before it shut down

It arrives tomorrow, it will be interesting to see what happens when I plug it all in!

Bear in mind it's £70 power supplys that I'm looking at, refurbished for significantly below RRP.

I already have a good 500 Watt power supply and you're right - this is the backup plan!

That's, err. well actually that's probably a very good suggestion actually! Absolutely no fun whatsoever (what's the point in an SLI motherboard if you don;t SLI it!), but yeah, in the end that's probably what I'm going to end up doing. Maybe a Radeon 265, I've seen them for well under £100 recently.
