I am using both OS X and Windows on my computer, both boot from my SSD. When I originally installed them I made two partitions on my SSD, one for each. after a while I found out that I misevaluated how much space my Windows partition will need so I decided to reformat my SSD and reinstall both OSs on properly sized partitions. I repartitioned my SSD and reinstalled OS X, but when I tried to reinstall Windows from a backup I made earlier, the Windows installer asks to reformat and repartition my entire drive (not just the Windows dedicated partition) in order to use the backup. This will put me in this sort of "loop" that I cant get out of in terms of OS installation, and re downloading all of my software and files is an uncomfortable option.
How do I use my backup without reformating the entire drive?
Note: I can install a fresh Windows copy if that helps.
