I used to own a10-5800k with r9 270x and i got about 10-15% preformance hinderance..

so i just assumed the r9 280x will be minimmum bottlenecked by 25% it might be more not sure xD

I own an A10-6800k with a GTX 670 and I think 25% sounds about right, it's game dependant though and I still get 60fps most of the time.

FWIW I'm definitely looking for a cpu upgrade when I can to get the most from my gpu

of course its a game dependent..and i recomend going for intel i5 if you are willing to change your mobo and cpu,im an amd user since 2004 and tbh amd falls behind when reaching high end..
