Is there a drastic difference between the 2? I can get the VX238H for $100 shipped to me after rebates and such and would LOVE to pick up a 144hz monitor for this sort of price.

I realize the VX238H is a 23" monitor where the VG248QE is a 24"

Is there any performance difference between the 2?

The VG248QE is a 144 Hz monitor. The other is not. VG248QE also has DisplayPort.

In terms of performance, if you can notice the difference between 60 Hz and 144 Hz, then that's pretty much the difference.

So the 1ms refresh rate is not the same as a 60hz vs 144hz?

Of course not. If you have a store near you that you can test it out, you can see the difference. Some people cannot notice the difference. If you play on 144 Hz, movement is a lot smoother. At the same time, playing on 144 Hz is more demanding than on 60 Hz.
