Possible bad PSU? PSU recommendations?

So about 6 months after buying a PC (specs below) from ibuypower during one of their christmas sale events it began to instantly power off at seemingly random times every once in a while (almost always when I'd be gaming though) and then power back on after a second or two. There would be no blue screens and nothing in event viewer except the same "Kernel power event 41 system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down..." every time. It seemed to be so random and unexplainable I figured it has to be a faulty PSU (i've never even heard of "Coonix", and can't even find any of their products on any online retail sites). I've tried every possible troubleshooting route I can think of before resorting to spending money on replacement parts, and after researching this issue endlessly I figured I'd try a new PSU... can anyone suggest one preferably in the $75-$100 range? Some people have mentioned Corsair tx 750w but they seem to be sold out everywhere I've looked so far...

edit: I don't really have access to a replacement PSU I can test with.. except for the ones from old PC's at work which are at MOST like 200w-300w

Coonix 800w PSU
ASRock fatal1ty z68 pro gen3
Geforce GTX 550ti
2x 4gb corsair ddr3
intel i5-2500k
adata 120GB SSD
