Hello, posted a thread a few days ago regarding buying a PC and have been looking more extensively and have come up with these specs. I'm particularly looking at the motherboard, CPU and GPU as I want to know if things can be changed around to get better performance overall. Want to be able to play future games such as Battlefield Hardline as well as any current games.

The link to the parts are here:

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/sb4BGX

This will be costing £859.34

A quick look at your build - if you are on a budget, I would drop the Liquid Cooler, I like overclocking also, but you can always add this later. You would get more performance now by spreading the price savings from the Liquid Cooler to upgrade your graphics card to a R7 265 and possibly a little higher power supply for increase power usage (60 w to 130 w) by the R7 265 from your original 750 TI graphics card. Also, like others have said, 2x4 RAM would be better. If you want to go with Sremin's build with no overclocking is a good build, or just drop the liquid cool till later and swap ram, upgrade graphics and power. Shaaazam!

Thanks for the answers guys. So I don't actually need a cooler then since I don't plan to over clock soon?

Also the video card sremin posted will that be better than the original posted as I'm looking for good performance but no ultra.

That video card will give you good performance with ultra settings at 1080p. Number wise it's roughly 81% faster than the 750 ti

The R9 270X is still much faster than the gtx 750 ti, devils canyon i5 with better thermals and z97 mobo

Solution

Now this I like. You don't need Arctic silver as the Evo 212 comes with half decent paste in the box, so I'm glad it's not there.
That XFX is probably the best value PSU in the UK right now
In a year or two if you need more performance just upgrade the GPU and off you go
