First water cooling loop question

I just built my first custom loop. However, I forgot to buy distilled water on my last outing to town. Will filtered soft water work fine for a few days? If more, how long can it lasted without damaging my parts? I just want to check for leaks and play until I can switch out the coolant. Thank you.

I am still learning about custom loops but from what I understand, using distilled water is all about keeping build up from eroding parts and clogging up the pumps. If you are only doing it for a few days I dont think it would cause any issues.

it may be a moot point however because judging from the date of your original post, you have likely solved this already.
