Trouble getting driver for graphics card

Hello, My computer is pretty new. I put it together with a few friends for my own gaming pc , but now im having trouble playing games. Every time i try to play it loads up and lets me take a few steps then it freezes cuts off from the screen but then sound loops for a second but then i can hear it just fine with no luck of getting any video back. I went to AMD website and put in all my info to get a driver , downloaded that driver and everything.Still not working . I found my Graphics card box to fined a disk with the driver on it . I have a RADEON R9 270X , on the disk it said it has the driver but will not let me download it and i have downloaded everything else form the disk hoping it will allow me to to download the drive. I have even uninstalled my driver wile the cd was up on my screen. That did not let me download the driver also. I really need help with this. It has been bothering me since i built this PC and i would love to play some games with my friends.

What AMD drivers version are you installing?

I have GIGABYTE AMD Radeon R9 270X graphics card. MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard. Thermaltake Smart 550W. Hyper 212 Plus cpu cooler. And AMD A8 5600K Quad-Core Processor .

I have the AMD R9 2XXX driver, but my graphics disk has another one on it i can't download called Direct X9.

By driver i meant which version of AMD Catalyst did you use?
All the recent AMD Catalyst support AMD card from HD 5000 series to the recent gpus.

I looked it up and it said I got the Catalyst 14.4 . Not sure if that helps.
I looked at the temp of my gpu , it said current 45.0 average 48.3

the gpu thermal diode is 31 now on average its 30.9. GPU vrm is 36

So what is your cpu temps?
Test your ram with Memtest.

cpu is 2.1 , on average its 7.1 . it just spiced for a second to 7.5 just a second ago. The CPU package is 46.8 right now on average its 552.3

Can you confirm what OS you are using? That might be the source of your problem, not having the right drivers for the right OS.

If you unplug the R9 270X, does it freezes when you try to game on it?

i was just playing . it did not kick me off . a little glitchy when i opened the options for a second or 2 but it did not kick me off.
Atleast it did not kick me off TF2 this time. It was a little laggy and the quallity was crap but it did not kick me off.

What else should I do . I still can't download my driver for my graphics card off the disk . Could that be the OS drivers?

Your power supply should be enough for a R9 270X. Have you got someone who can lend their power supply to test your system or someone to test your R9 270X?
Don;t bother with the CD drivers. They are outdated. You should use 14.4 AMD Catalyst.

Hmmmm At the moment i don't have anyone that can try out my card . Why do you think it may be my power supply?

It may not have supplied enough power with the R9 270X, may be faulty or not. If your build works without the card, it could be a power issue or its the card that has the problem.

gotcha. Will check those things out . Is there any test i can do right now to see if its the card or not?

Other than plugging it back it and reinstalling the drivers to test it, not really.
