Solution
Doesn't seem so

Corsair
6-7-8-9 CAS Latency

Transcend
9-9-9 CAS Latency

I would not expect those two sticks to work well with each other.

Yeah those are excellent RAM for a fair price and enough for your needs I'd reckon.

It might be worthwhile upgrading to a CX500 Power Supply. I'm currently using it and it has a few PCI-E Connectors included.

You may want to run memtest for each block of ram. Remember that it can take alot of time before RAM produces an error even though it's faulty so even if both seems fine seperately it may not be the case. Did you do anything else recently with the PC? Upgrading CPU or similar?
Anyway RAM is not that expensive so you may want to consider buying two ned 4 GB Corsair Vengance for example. Those are pretty cheap.

What about the timing of the RAMS? Are they identical as well? You should always try to use RAM from same manufacture. Using RAM from different manufactures, even though they should be identical can lead to alot of errors. I can't really think of anything else than upgrading to identical RAM sticks from same manufacture.
