Hi,

I'm having some trouble with my monitor, but I have a suspicion that it may be an easily fixed problem so I was wondering if you might have a solution.

Today after I restarted my computer my monitor would not respond to the pc turning on. I can here the sound of the pc fully booting up and reaching the login menu. So it must be to do with the connection of the monitor to the pc. The monitor has a sufficient power source and Im sure all cables are working. The monitor will not detect the pc and just looks for a signal/connection and then goes to sleep. I've tried powering everything down, unplugging all cables, putting them back in and reconnecting power multiple times.

This has happened before with the same pc and I'm not sure how I fixed it, it seemed to be fixed on its own all of a sudden after continuously unplugging and re-inserting cables (however I am not sure of this).

I would like to add that the reason for me restarting the computer was because I had uninstalled my AMD drivers to install the most recent ones, because they were out of date. After removing the software the website (http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%207%20-%2064#amd-catalyst-packages) recommended to restart the computer and then install the updated package.

However I think that uninstalling the driver software had nothing to do with this monitor issue as the issue has occurred on previous occasions, when I hadn't touched the software or uninstalled anything.
