I just built a PC last night, installed win 8.1 on to my SSD and now have my HDD there too. I downloaded a few things but it automatically tries to save the files to the SSD which is only 128GB big over the HDD which is 1TB.

The ssd is the C: drive and my HD is the D: drive.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to change it so that things I download automatically save to the HD instead of the small SSD..

anyone please help!!! - windwos 8.1

Sweet,

I know things like World of Warcraft install in the Program Files (x86) folder by default..is there anyway to get that Program Files(x86) folder to be the main folder for my HD instead of the SSD? Or do I just have to manually choose it each time im installing something.

For applications and games, choose for each one. A lot of things you DO want on the SSD. Browsers, AV, etc.
Set up a top level folder on the HDD - call it MyStuff or something. Use that as the top level target folder for installing things.
