Okay I've been looking for an answer and can't seem to find one that applies to me, I'm looking to build a system for 3D modeling in Maya and possibly Zbrush. Primarily I need advice on cpu and gpu combination, but all the answers seem to be for higher budgets. I'm just starting so my budget isn't as high, its about £700 or $1200. Any suggestions?

Don't use Amd if youre modelling you can see my rig I use this for Maya zbrush and multiple engines. Guys I work with had issues with amd when using their 3d applications with stuttering and with the softwares propriataries . I'd suggest like a 770 4gb or a 780 6gb single with an i7 4770k or non k as over clocking doesn't help really.
