So I've installed my new Samsung 840 EVO, installed Windows onto it, and set it as my boot drive. Something I didn't think about, though, is how to make my desktop look like it used to (Same programs, shortcuts etc) when I had windows booting from my HDD. Is there any quick way to do this?

Solution
go to your old HDD's directory and navigate to your Desktop folder C:\Users\"user"\Desktop. there you will find your shortcuts and programs that were on the desktop before you made the switch to the SSD.

You want to test them out, some shortcuts and programs will work fine while other will not (which you would have to reinstall)

Yeah just noticing that now. Not particularly bothered though... Just restarted for the first time. By the time I unlocked my phone, it was done.
