I really enjoy bioshock infinite and today i was planning another play though low and behold when i get to the 2k logo my computer locks up and crashes the exact same issue on borderlands 2.

This doesn't happen on ANY other game i have.

i've tried
re installing the game
re installed all of steam -.-

What kind of crash do you get? A crash to desktop? Does your computer freeze then unfreeze? Just outright freeze and you have to reboot to fix?
Have you installed any DLC since you last played Infinite?
No promises, but try updating GPU drivers.

Feels like an issue related to bink player. That usually comes with the product you install, but getting it fresh off the net might solve the issue.

Also, more than a fix, it's a workaround. Usually, if videos are missing, a game just skips reproducing them.
Why don't you try renaming the video files? It should just skip them entirely.

How can they be missing? I've re installed the game 5 times along with verifying integrity of the files

They can be missing if you rename/move them. If they're missing, the won't get reproduced but rather they get skipped, hence your game won't hang on them unless there's a specific check wanting them.

I was hinting at the fact you should rename them yourself ON PURPOSE. If the game doesn't find the files, there's a good chance it skips them entirely.

Nevertheless, I missed the part about the fact it's from steam, so I doubt it's a corrupted bink player. Should the above workaround fail, it could very well be a driver incompatibility, so I suggest you update them.
