Hi,

I have recently been researching low cost (~$300) laptops on eBay that are capable of some light gaming, and Animation/Modelling work. I really only need this laptop to take with me on vacation, to get a little bit of work done while on the plane. And maybe get a game or two of Titanfall in while I'm in my condo. ;)

As you can guess by my budget, I don't need to play at highest settings, or have the latest and greatest, but I want your opinions on which laptop will better suit me.

Both laptops have dedicated AMD graphics cards, the difference is that one has a newer processor, but a slower graphics card, while the other has a much nicer graphics card, with an older processor.

This one has an AMD FirePro M5800, which is a professional card and should favor my Modelling/Animation work, while it has the lesser Core i5 540M.

This one has an i5 2520M, but a less than desirable AMD Radeon 6470M.

So, what do you think would be more beneficial to me? I personally don't think either laptop will have a serious problem with running Cinema 4D, or Blender for me. (I know people who own both laptops) But, neither of the people who own these laptops can vouch for their gaming performance the same as they can for their Professional performance.

I would mainly be playing TitanFall, BioShock 1 and 2, all the source engine games (portal, team fortress, half life and counter strike) and maybe SimCity? (Just naming off games I own off of the top of my head to give you guys an idea of what types of games I might decide I want to play on the laptop)

So, better CPU, or better GPU?

For $300 I doubt any laptop will be capable of Titanfall on playable settings. Maybe invest in a desktop?
