Im am just about to purchase my first gaming rig and I would like any recommendations for any improvements. I am not looking to spend any more money if possible.

I already have a 1tb hhd and old hhd waiting for my system as well as windows 7 os.

I will be using this set up with two monitors, one hd and one not as well as hooking up to my TV for streaming.

A few questions I have is:
1. Do I require anything else e.g wires (internal)
2. Any improvements that can be made?
3. Any savings to be made

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Put one together for you. Not sure how it will compare to yours but this set up will be cool and whisper quiet. And run anything you throw at it for years.

In that case grab the i5-4690k, a NH-U12S and a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 instead.

The system I suggested is made to OC. AMD is just less expensive, affording you the ability to get the better GPU. And its water-cooled. I own that cooler and it really works well.

A CLC is rarely a good idea, let alone the H60.

Its a good cooler. Works well and CLC has come a long way. To each their own!

It's just pointless when there are air cooling options for the same price.

My feeling is, if you connect them properly, the CLC is much quieter, take up alot less space and work as well if not better.

Graphiz, what are the main differences between the fan and mobo I chose to yours? Would mine be efficient enought with the i5 4790 oc to a stable 4.2?
