Simple answer - Maybe.....even if you get another 2x4GB set of the same model the answer is the same - Maybe. The only guarantee with multiple sticks is to buy a single package of DRAM - that way all sticks are tested to work together (if they all arrive alive
)...That's why 4 stick sets cost more than the same sticks in 2 sticks sets (many buy 2 - 2 stick sets thinking they are clever and saving $3-5 dollars, and many of them find it's not so clever. If you try either way, with another 2x4GB or a 8GB stick and have problems, give me a shout, DRAMs sort of a specialty of mine, we might well be able to adjust timings and/or voltages to get them to play, no guarantees though, best to buy a 16GB set and sell the old
