My question is that will corsair vangence 8gb 8x1 work with corsair vangence pro 8 gb 4x2. If yes than what will be the drawback or will there be any difference between single 8gb ram and 2 4gb rams performance.I will be really thankful if someone can come up with any answer.right now I am using corsair vangence 8 gb1x1 and I want corsair vangence pro 8gb 4x2 with this.

Simple answer - Maybe.....even if you get another 2x4GB set of the same model the answer is the same - Maybe. The only guarantee with multiple sticks is to buy a single package of DRAM - that way all sticks are tested to work together (if they all arrive alive ;) )...That's why 4 stick sets cost more than the same sticks in 2 sticks sets (many buy 2 - 2 stick sets thinking they are clever and saving $3-5 dollars, and many of them find it's not so clever. If you try either way, with another 2x4GB or a 8GB stick and have problems, give me a shout, DRAMs sort of a specialty of mine, we might well be able to adjust timings and/or voltages to get them to play, no guarantees though, best to buy a 16GB set and sell the old

No... If you have 4 2GB memory sticks already you can't have them all in there.

If you mean to say you have 2 4GB sticks already, just get another 2 4GB sticks. Really should be a matched set, but as long as the timings and voltages match it should work.
