6GB graphics card or 3K Display

What would be more important? The 6GB of graphics memory or the 3K display?

I want to get a laptop for gaming. I have narrowed it down to 2 laptops. One has 6GB of graphics memory and a 1920x1080p 17in display. The other has 3GB of graphics memory and a 15.6in 2880x1620p (3K) display. Which would be better?

You certainly do not need 6 GB of VRAM at 1080p. Any more than 2 GB becomes very arguable. At 2880x1620, 3 GB might get some use.

Back up… video memory capacity is probably the single worst thing you can use to make a purchase decision. If you want advice on two laptops, post their system specs for us to take a look at.
