Hello world,
I am creative professional looking for building an entry level workstation for producing digital contents, mostly using 3ds Max, Maya, C4D etc.
I have already bought the following components from newegg, but will be visiting abroad to collect rest of the parts as some hardware are extremely unavailable in the place I am situated at the moment.
1. Intel Xeon processor E3-1220V3
2. AMD FirePro V4900
Need to know the ideal motherboard/main-board for the processor, as well as ram and power supply.
I would appreciate your kindness of spending few lines of your time enlightening me with the required parts for the workstation.

You could have get the E3-1230 V3 which has hyper threading, thus more performance.
For this, a good B-85 chipset board will do the trick. Like the Asus B85-Plus C2.
For the PSU, 500W will be enough. The card consumes 75W.
As is a workstation, I assume you will need a not less than 16 GB of RAM. The motherboard I linked to you have 4 slots, therefore you can install 32-64 GB easily.
For this, a good B-85 chipset board will do the trick. Like the Asus B85-Plus C2.
For the PSU, 500W will be enough. The card consumes 75W.
As is a workstation, I assume you will need a not less than 16 GB of RAM. The motherboard I linked to you have 4 slots, therefore you can install 32-64 GB easily.

Thanks for your kind reply, I looked for the mobo you listed and figured that out it is a bit under quoted, is there any better motherboard which is compatible with the E3-1220 V3 processor?
Also I have seen some motherboards where you can put two processors and gpu card instead of one, can I do that with the listed resources?

If possible, I would return the 1220v3 and get a 1230v3. The 1220v3 does not have hyperthreading meaning that the 1230v3 has 4 more processor threads which would have an impact on your digital content creation. Basically the 1220v3 is similar to an i5 and the 1230v3 is similar to an i7.
The only multi cpu options are available on the 2011 socket not the 1150 socket and the multi cpu mobos are pretty expensive.

Hello numanator!
I really appreciate your insight to this matter, unfortunately I cannot return them since it was shipped all the way from north part of the planet, it is indeed a saddening fact that the processor will have the lacking of 4 cores, but curious mind want's to know how many threads it has already? Thanks in advance.
Also, I am searching which mobo should I ideally use it with, there was one solution for that up there, but I am open for options.

It does not lack 4 cores. The 1220 and the 1230 have both four cores. The difference as numanator said is the 1230 have hyperthreading, thus adding two threads per core instead of one.
1220 = 4 cores, 4 threads.
1230 = 4 cores, 8 threads.
Hyperthreading helps some when doing multitask, but is nowhere as efficient as real cores, and is not a must-have feature.
To choose a motherboard, depends on your needs. Single or several graphic cards? How many drives?
Any or almost any LGA1150 will support the processor.

If you can't afford it, just get any B85 chipset board.
