My internet connection is a cable going from my main router into a separate router that is located in my study room. It has been working fine for the past year.
This week the cable was getting loose so i changed the cable to a new one.
Since then i could connect with no problems when connecting the cable as Ethernet-straight to the computer, but when i try to connect the cable to my separate router it is not working. I get a message 'unable to connect to dns server' or 'your broadband modem is experiencing connectivity issues'.
I have windows 8.1 and all the adapters are up to date.
I would really appreciate any assistance!
