Will the i5-4590 work with the ASRock H97M Pro4 LGA 1150 Intel H97 for sure?

Ok so i am still a little bit nervous on installing my i5-4590 into my ASRock H97M Pro4 LGA 1150 Intel H97. SO far what i have heard from others is that i do not need to update the BIOS or anything like that all i need to do is just plug it all up and put it all together and pretty much just plug and play with no updating the BIOS. Is this true? I really hope so. Also do you think i should buy an aftermarket cooler for my CPU? I also wonder if a made a good choice for picking the i5-4590 instead of the i5-4690 because it is a $30 difference with no noticeable performance change.

No need to update BIOS unless you having having problems with Hardware or other Chipsets. The Motherboard Vendors usually will have a more recent BIOS version depending on when the retailer gets their boards. As far as I know the h97 Chipsets motherboards such as yours do function with the H97 features and Haswell refresh CPUs. The difference between the i5 4590 and 4690 is marginal.

EDIT if you can get the i5 4690 for roughly the same price then you may as well. Why not..The CPU may reach a higher turbo frequency that specified as some motherboards will key in a very slightly higher or lower BLCK

But i fear that the i5-5690 will not work with my MB. if it does i will get it. And just to clear things out. ican pretty much plug and play with the i5-4590 and the AsRock MB i own?

the h97 mobo is the same as the z97 mobo plug and play. its the z87 mobos that need updating. also if the z97 mobo is there get it allows better overclocks and features than a h97 mobo. dont be worried its the same just plug and play most modern motherboards can update themselves so yeah
