Hi guys.
I wanna know if someone can tell me one good MOBO for the money to pair with an i3 haswell.
I want a good MOBO because later i can switch to an i5 and OC it.
I have 2 options:
1- Stay with an i3 now, buy a better MOBO and later switch to an i5-K possibel,
2- Buy now an i5-non K and a b85 MOBO.

The B85 MOBO i have in mind is this MSI B85-G43 GAMING SKT 1150.

If someone can help me decide and if someone want chose a diferent MOBO, please do from this site: http://www.alientech.pt

PS. The PC is for gaming and light work (office, autoCad)

Thanks guys, and sorry if my english is not the best.

For overclocking, you need a Z87(haswell) or Z97 (haswell refresh) motherboard. i3's don't overclock. only i5 4670k or 4690k overclock.

Tom's - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mainstream-gaming-z97-motherboard,3824.html - recommends ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 (or Asus Z97-A)
as a mid tier Z97 mobo. There are better (but more expensive) overclocking motherboards. Particularly from Asus eg Sabertooth, Maxiumus Hero.

Yeah iam not on a big rush. XD
So in your opinion its better now get a Z97 MOBO with an I3 haswell and later after 1year or more get the new CPU maybe an i5 or even if i want an i5-K to OC.
Its better go that way then get an i5-non K now with the MSI B85-G43 GAMING SKT 1150? With the second one i can only upgrade later to an I7 so not so good to future.

About the Z97 MOBO that Asus is the best for the price or you have other better for the price?
If you have can pick one from this site please. (http://www.alientech.pt)

Thank you

Its that or not?

For that review the Asrock is the better option or not? They are the same price more or less.
For a lower price, good for gaming and future, there is anything good? Maybe i wont buy a new i5-K to OC maybe i only buy the new i5-non K. I dont know already, but that MOBOS are almost the price of an i3 haswell LOL

Hi,
so for the overclocking need
will go with z series mb for sure
(well, there has few leak bios supports h97 overclocking, but I personal suggest to use the z97 mb)

and, b85-g43 gaming mb is good, but you have to find the bios for oc

so I will suggest the z97 pc mate
this can oc for sure, also cheap as well

I m not sure if your are the hard-overclocker
if not, I will just vote i5-non k cpu with b85-g43 gaming mb

I never done OC and i dont know if the gain on FPS in games worth it. Because to OC you need a very good PSU, a very good MOBO and a decent cooler and i think if i take that money and apply it on a better GPU i will gain more FPS.
So in resume i think i will not OC in the future.

My question now is:
Its better now get the H97 MOBO for later upgrade to the new CPU chips? Or should i stay with the B85 MOBO?
I will get now maybe an I3 and not an I5 but after a year i can upgrade to an I5-non K.
