Hey all. I recently got a desktop, and want to upgrade my GPU in the near future. Problem is, I'm fairly new to this sort of thing, so I really don't know where to start, and could use a point in the right direction before anything else. I'm just afraid that I might run into compatibility issues or something like that. I guess what I'm getting at is this: which GPUs would you guys recommend?

Here are my specs:
CPU: i7 4770
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 635
RAM: 12 GB
Motherboard: HP 2AF7
Power Supply: 460W
OS: Windows 8.1

Well what your budget? and what do you play?

The most powerful card you can put in is a GTX 750 ti because your PSU is only 460w.

Your mobo has PCIe x16 3.0 slot. It is basically a H87 chipset series mobo. So any GPU, you name it can be run in it. However, for modern GPUs you would be required to change the PSU.

If you don't want to change the PSU then get GTX 750Ti. Though I would suggest to change the PSU and better grab R9 270x or GTX 760 depending upon your budget

Thanks guys. At least now I know some of my options.

Ah, I did forget to mention my budget, which would probably be around the $200-250 range for upgrades.
