The Deluxe is too expensive. I think I'd go for the Hero out of them all.

Does the Hero feature Sata Express and M.2 storage, and why not the Sabertooth?

Look onb the link.

Not much between sabertooth and hero. pick either. You came up wit the pick list. What made you pick these?

I think they're all too expensive. I'd just go for Z97-A

I picked these because I wanted a high end motherboard with lots of features

The Z87 Hero was the creme of the crop in Z87s (mines in sig) and the Z97 is even better, picked one up when they were released, OCs better, handles DRAM better, runs cooler, better BIOS....That's my pick, fully imagine the ST is also better, but the Z87 Hero was hands down better than the Z87 model....

Are their any advantages at all to having the sabertooth over the hero? And can the sabertooth handle memory over 1866mhz?

Yes on the faster DRAM, this has been something they've done with the STs for awhile, I built a couple of Z87 STs and had no problem with 2133 and 2400 sets

Just one more thing, does the Sabertooth OC as well as the Hero? And if the Sabertooth can easily go above 1866mhz, why isn't it listed in the specs?

Maybe it doesn't happen reliably and so they don't advertise it.

So I'm assuming it happens reliably on the hero?

Have no idea why they always show 1866, benn doing back to the P67s, I've had better luck with OCing on the Hero, generally + 0.1 to 0.2 i.e. On a hero if I can get the CPU to 4.7 on a ST at around the same voltage then 4.5-4.6 (using same CPU)

One last thing, so if the Hero OC's better, does the Armor and Backlate and stuff do anything or is it just a gimmick, and which has better components ?(Since I have a Noctua NH-D14 and MSI GTX 780 Lightning, both heavy parts which did droop and somewhat warp my previous Z87 Extreme3)

In part it's to help with cooling, can also be considered for looks giving things a cleaner lines, I'm in AZ and it can be a dustcatcher, so I'm not a big pusher of the line of mobos (+ I do push good ventilation and fans so basically don't need any help of the sort on keeping things cool)

Sorry, but I've got one more question, which features does the Hero have that actually improve gaming?

Like many that are aimed at gaming, it has the tricked out ethernet, an improved audio capability, but primarily it's in the tuning abilities via the BIOS and thermal design towards OCing, numerous utility programs to help you fine tune if not comfortable in the BIOS....here's the page for it:

They have network optimization software that allows you to manage priorities of of bandwidth, and packets called GameFirstIII, again you can get more info on their mobo web page, gave the link above
