Hi, my computer was running fine, until I decided to move it to on my desk. Now all my monitor shows is a black screen. I know my computer is loading the OS because my xbox one controller vibrates. I tried both DVI slots on my graphics card, and the one on my motherboard. Only the VGA on my motherboard displays. I know it isn't the DVI cable because it says it recognizes my cable plug but there is no signal from my computer.

I've reseated the RAM, GPU and all that jazz. I've also tried using an old GPU, which didn't work. Also, I've used a different monitor.

SPECS:
i7 4790k
GTX 560
ASRock z97 Exreme4
FuryX 8GB

Put the monitor cable into the gtx560 instead of the motherboard. You put it back in the wrong spot.

Some monitors have to be set to use DVI.

It should be under something like Menu > Settings > Input > VGA/DVI/HDMI
You can switch through them.

It's a long shot but thought i'd make sure you didn't miss something obvious.

I've already tried that. I've tried both GPU slots as well as the single motherboard slot

The monitor recognises that I have a connected cable, it just doesn't have a signal to my computer.
