Choppy video when recording with Dxtory?

Hi, I've been trying to record a few games (Minecraft, some Steam indie games, etc), and I've got a problem. Taking Minecraft as an example, in game while not recording I get around 200 fps (though I limit it to 60, to save cpu, and because there is no reason for more than 60). While recording i still get around 100 (still, limited to 60). In the Dxtory settings I set the FPS to record at to 60. After I record, the fps is not at 60, or barely even 30 when I watch the video. Now, aside from setting up my mic, hard drive, and FPS, i have not changed any settings in Dxtory. Is there something I should change to solve this? A specific codec maybe?
Thanks!
Edit: Dxtory benchmarked my harddrive (non-ssd) at 174 mbps, and I play off of the same harddrive i record to (I know, it would be better to have two, but I'm not made of money :p)

Recording software generally makes the game drop a few frames, especially if you haven't got that good of a PC.
Try to turn of the limiter to see if it makes any difference.

Try downloading and playing around with "Fraps" too, however if you have an Nvidia Graphics card that is compatible, then you can download Nvidia Shadowplay.
Shadowplay is probably the most userfriendly recording software made, that has the least performance decrease. If you don't have a compatible Nvidia GPU, then you can try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMCeZGUZato

For DXtory i don't know, but i would go for some other recording software than that. The whole problem could be that your PC just can't handle it because minecraft is so CPU dependant, so...

Normally i'd agree with you, but I'm pretty sure it's not that my computer can't handle it. I just tried recording without the limiter, and it came out the same. Records at about 100 fps in-game, dxtory confirms it is recording at 60. (60 is the highest Dxtory has a setting for). And it's not just Minecraft either. Any game I try to record, even simple ones, come out like this.
