how to get ants out of my scanner

I have a CannonScanLIDE25 and cannot see any way of getting the glass off to remove the ants
& eggs that have invaded my scanner.

how does that even happen. You will need to pop the plastic between the bottom plastic and the plastic frame holding the glass in apart with a flat head screw driver
