Looking for a CPU that suits your needs?

Okay. It's very easy. Let me suggest you in point-wise.

1. Hope you've heard about Hyper Threading. It is a technology used to improve parallelization of computations i.e., doing multiple tasks at once. As per my studies, i7 processors are manufactured with HT technology. This processor comes in handy when you want to perform your tasks together.

2. FX 9370. Though FX processors are on end of the line, they have got cores! Lot of cores! These are highly required to work with Photoshop, after effects, simulations, and so on. More cores, More Advantages. Especially, when you overclock this FX processor, it would be an awesome competitor to i7 4770 (Not meant by gaming-wise). The main...

The main disadvantage of this CPU is its power consumption. It requires a huge amount of power to run, and will inevitably create a lot of excess heat. Hence, you need a powerful PSU with water cooling.

3. When you ask me about i5 4690K, I would say it is a more desirable CPU too but lacks hyper-threading. The single core performance of 4690K is better than both fx 9370 and i7 4770k and hence it plays a major role if you are strictly gaming!

Conclusion:

If you really don't care about the power consumption and buying a new PSU, then go with FX 9370 which will definitely amuse you with its performance for your required tasks; otherwise, choose i7-4770k because it has hyper-threading feature and also, it is a future proof down the line. When gaming is necessary, then go with 4690K and that is a beast of gaming CPU. Hope I've helped.
