Ok, so I had a glass of Pepsi on my desk (Like an idiot) and my compute is right beside the desk, I reach for my mouse and somehow bump the glass over. Most of it goes on my desk and some of it went on top of the computer where the top fan is.

At this point my computer was on, running perfectly. I turned it off, and poof. It didn't turn back on. So i cleaned the desk, and after finish cleaning the top fan, I took a flashlight and examined the inside. I found little wet specs on the mptherborard.

The system is currently back at the shop where I purchased it. I didn't tell anyone I spilt anything in it because I'd get in a lot of trouble. (parents)

All the parts have a 3 year warranty, he said it DOES NOT cover physical damage, does this include liquid damage? What will they do? Will I have to rebuy the motherboard/all other parts that were damaged?

Thanks.

Pepsi can corrode and short circuitry. The warranty most likely doesn't cover spills. They would also probably check the parts inside the machine and would conclude that a drink was spilled in there. I would test each component to see what's broken if you've got a buddy who's willing to help you.

Yes, liquid damage is physical damage. If you cleaned it off, you can only hope they don't know that that is what is causing the problem. So yes, if they find out, you rebuy. Its not the companies fault you spilled on it.

Update: well they didn't notice the spill LOL. They said something on the motherboard broke and they didn't mention anything about water or liquid damage. So I got really lucky, warranty covered everything.
