The default memory frequency is lower than the speed on the box.

I have a 2X8GB kit of Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400Mhz Ram, that is running at 1333Mhz, according to my BIOS. Here are my system specs if that helps.
Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO motherboard, RAM as previously mentioned, i7-4770K, cx860i psu, gtx 780. Thanks!!

Enable "XMP" Memory Profile in the BIOS. Save and Exit. That should do it for you.
