I've asked in yahoo answers but just to make sure if i need more details, is it compatible? does it fit and work properly? someone said i would have to change PSU which i am 100% fine with if that will get the graphics card to work in the system. I opened it up the other day and saw 1 free PCI-E x16

So, do i just have to change the PSU and i can then install the graphics card?

Mik - I have installed the 750ti into my Optiplex 780 MT. You will need to modify either the case or the card to make it fit, as the PCI-E x16 slot is at the top of the PCI card slots, and the GTX 750ti card extends "up" to take up 2 slots worth of room. Basically, the space for the second slot will hit into the case wall. So you can either modify the card and remove that second slot (which I didn't want to do), or just take some tin snips to the case. A half inch square cut where the top of the card sits, and then if you follow the card down you will see a piece of metal that pushes into the case where the outer black plastic case cover snaps in. That metal sticking in will butt up against the card and make it not sit flush. Cut it out, and trim the black plastic case tab down.

The card will now sit in there flush.

I'll post pics later tonight (running out at the moment). You have a small form factor? I'm not sure that the GTX750TI will fit in your case, because the hard drive is right next to it. The 750 card is a dual slot card. My mini-tower has space, but does not have a slot opening next to the PCI-x16 so I had to cut some holes to make it fit.

I'll take pics when I get back to show what it looks like and what I had to do to make it fit in the mini tower. As mentioned, I'm not sure you have the space next to your hard drive.

Have had a OptiPlex 780 Small Form Factor with a low profile 750 ti in production for over a year now. It drives a 2k monitor. 7.8 Win 7 performance rating.
It can be done.
Updated firmware, change battery.
You will have to carve some sheet metal a little and the hard drive holder will need some work with a hack saw.
Put a SSD in there so the space was no issue.
GIGABYTE GV-N75TOC-2GL
Needed to cut the fan shroud a little on the video card.
CPU Q9650
Ram 12 GB
Blue Ray burner/player from some laptop
This set up will pull 300 total watts max load. Power - FSP300-60LG-5K. Used but splices to connect the dell plug, Get creative with some screws and washer to hold it in. Maybe a little bit of plastic to cover the hole.
