Cross firing 280's from different manufactures ex: xfx and Msi

I've been wondering of I can crossfire a xfx dd 280 and another non reference 280 will everything be alright?

Yes, it's alright to mix different brands. I recommend making the XFX the bottom card since the top card is the one that has to deal with more heat, and the MSI has a better cooler.

What would be the best match for my existing xfx one besides an msi one?

Anything that is not clocked lower than your current card should do. The MSI card has a pretty good cooler, so I'd stick with that one if it isn't overpriced compared to the other models.
