Hey guys,
Here's the thing. I'd been searching on the internet for awhile now and I managed to find out how to force my internet service provider to hand me a new different ISP ip address. Meanings, if you go to whatismyip.com, it should show you have a different IP address comparing to your old one. What I did was spoofing into another MAC address using the capability of my router. My router is a modem/router combination. It's a Motorola SBG901.
The problem is, once I get a new ip address, it would work for 10-15 minutes, and the connection will go down, and the weird thing is, I cannot even go into my router by entering 192.168.0.1 into the web browser. Shouldn't I be able to access it regardless if I have an internet connection or not? It will work again only if I unplug the router for like...15-30 seconds. Then it'll work for another 10-15 minutes and do the same thing again.
By switching back to my original MAC address, it would give me my original IP address and nothing goes wrong.
Can someone here shine a light on this issue I am having?
