Hi All,

I've got the current setup:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 Boxed
Motherboard: Gigabyte G1.Sniper B5
Videocard: Sapphire R9 290 4GB GDDR5 OC TRI-X
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ, 1TB
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Tactical BLT2C4G3D1608ET3LX0CEU
DVD drive: Sony Optiarc AD-7240S Zwart
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power L7 530W
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB

Currently, I'm having issues with implementing the RAM. When I put in 1 RAM piece in slot 1 or 2, it works. If I continue to use the 2nd bar in the Dual channel slots (so 1 & 3), the mobo starts beeping short beeps constantly until the PC turns off. Same happens for slots 2 &4, and if I use 1 bar in slot 3 OR slot 4. The RAM is not on the official supported memory list, could that be the issue? Would updating the BIOS help? Thing is it doesn't even go to BIOS at the moment...

Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks!

Stefan

Those beeps may be an alarm, or post codes.

The POST beeps indicate the following:
1 short: System boots successfully
2 short: CMOS setting error
1 long, 1 short: Memory or motherboard error
1 long, 2 short: Monitor or graphics card error
1 long, 3 short: Keyboard error
1 long, 9 short: BIOS ROM error
Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
Continuous short beeps: Power error

From what you described, may it be a power error?

Hi, might be possible, but would that mean that slots 2 & 4 aren't getting power or so? If it would be a general power problem it would be weird it would only happen if th RAM is in slot 2/4?
