Okay, so i've got this old setup, but it doesn't have much ram. The motherboard has 2 ddr1 slots and 2 ddr2 slots. I need to ask, should I go for DDR400 ram or should i go overbudget for DDR2 ram? I know that frequencies don't really make a difference, and that I can't run both at the same time, so which should I buy?

More about : picking ram

What does that have to do with anything? How does that answer my question?

How much RAM do you have now? How much RAM if DDR? How much if DDR2? What's your budget? Frequencies do make a difference. What is the rest of your build?

Ok, I'd go with DDR. And save maybe 500 USD equivalent for a new computer next year or the year after.
