that is a fairly nice build you've put together yourself...
what I changed and why...
1) the fx-6300 will likely bottleneck the r9 290, an 8320 will do the job just fine
2) better known motherboard for slightly cheaper to make room for other parts
3) faster ram for a little bit more
4) better power supply...CX are moot
5) I was about to include the nzxt h440 http://pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-case-cah440wm1 since its better in every way, but I guess you like the looks of the define r4 so its fine
so what do you think of this?

Thx for the help man. I looked back over it and I just went with an 8350 because of the increased performance for very little cost. I also added the changes you made. Kept the case. I like it. Anything else or that look good?

you got an fx-8350 instead of the 8320?...the price: performance there really isnt worth it. You're better off getting a really nice cpu cooler and then overclocking the 8320 to 8350 speeds. These two use the same cores anyways, the lower quality ones just go to the 8320, but thats not to say that the cpu is bad. This cpu cooler is nice: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhd14 even though i'm not a massive fan of hanging 5 kgs of steel off a motherboard, the D14 will keep your cpu nice and cool when overclocking, plus amd chips could definitely use some cooling
