Power Supply Enough

hi guys was just wondering if a 600watt power supply would be enough for SLI with two gtx 660, an fx6300 and a mid range motherboard....Also got 6 case fans

No, your going to need something closer to 800-850W

Depends on the exact model of the power supply. A high quality 600W might be able to do that, but a low or mid-range unit would probably be in trouble.

Exact model? Some of Corsair's PSUs are utter crap, while others are very high quality.

Well 600w means it's CX or GS, the RM would be 650w

The answer is no, you need an upgrade - the GS has 48a on the 12v rails which is really cutting it too close and the CX has 46a...

Thanks a lot guys :) 

well i was trying to figure out the best way to upgrade my graphics...already need to change the mobo for SLI so i think it be better if i got a high end GPU...any recommendations would be appreciated

The GTX 770 would probably be the strongest GPU I'd run on a 600W Corsair.

Get the cheaper card. If the there is no price difference, get the one that's clocked higher.

The AMD contender would be the R9 280X, but it consumes more power so I wouldn't run it with that PSU.
