Hey guys, hope you can help me with query, when i am gaming my pc temp tends to go to 87 degrees when gaming, and whilst idle its at around 45degrees. I have an Acer Aspire x3900 and due to its small form ive only got one air flow on the front side off the pc. And at the top off the PC its gets really hot??

Any idea on how to bring those temps down when gaming.

Hope somebody can reply. thank you

Blow your case out - especially fans, filters and coolers. Up your cpu fan speed.

If that doesn't get idle to less than 40 and gaming to less then 50 -

Get rid of any cpu overclock.

Re-seat the cpu cooler -
Remove the fan and cooler.
Use isopropyl alcohol to clean the old thermal paste off the top of the cpu and bottom of the cooler.
Put a pea size drop of new Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste in the centre of the cpu.
Remount the cooler on the cpu. Re- attach the fan.

If that doesn't get idle to less than 40 and gaming to less then 50 then get a new better cpu cooler - one that will fit your case.

hey there man thanks for the reply.. i tried your method and still when gaming the temp reaches 80-85 degrees, because off the size off my small pc, do you think another fan at the back or side would be better to clear out all the hot air being generated?? Also which cpu cooler would fit in my Acer Aspire x3900?

Its in Celsius, it only reaches 80-85 when gaming when on full load, i dont understand why this is happening.. Could it also be how the PC is stationed, should I move it to a different location etc..
