Hey,

My CPU is sitting on 30-40 degrees on idle (which is pretty high I think) But as soon as I start playing music or something it'll rise to at least 60-70. If I start playing a game My CPU will throttle me and I can barely move my mouse. On the menu! My GPU temps haven't even gone past 35 degrees because the CPU just get's too hot or the usage is too high.

I though it might have been the way I installed the CPU cooler so I took it off and re applied thermal paste (Arctic Silver 5) and put it back on. I got around 3-5 degrees cooler with the new paste but it's still slowing down a lot.

I'm not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Specs are below:

Case: Corsair Graphite 760T Full Tower Case Black
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 770 Gaming Edition OC 2GB
CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K
PSU: Seasonic G-650 80Plus Gold 650W
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 3 Motherboard
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H105 Liquid CPU Cooler
Memory: 8 Gig (2x4GB) G SKILL Ripjaws

Yes - temps way too high! It should be less than 40 on idle and 50C gaming.

Up your cpu fan rpm. Get rid of any overclock. Get Vcore down to 1.15V on idle.

Blow out your case - especially fans, coolers and filters.

Check the H105 - fans spinning at greater than 1000rpm? Pump running at over 2000rpm? Can you hear it?
