My motherboard is:
DQ965GFEKR µATX Mainboard, Intel® Q965: http://www.lynx-it.de/lynx/popup_details.php?prod=DQ965GFEKR%2FK&desc=

I just got a new video card but it was a bit of an impulse buy and i think i made a stupid decision, but that's another story. This is the card and it's made for a PCI-E slot, which my motherboard has, i couldn't figure out if it's model is .

But when i tried to insert it, the front (smaller) part is too wide for the port on my PC. What am i missing here? Why doesn't it fit?

Are you putting it in the pcie x16 slot - nearest the cpu?

Have you opened the motherboard pcie slot lock? (slide sideways)

The images of that card show a pci card not pci-e. Plus(from what i found) the fx 5500 only came in agp and pci. So I'm betting the person who listed the card has no clue what they are doing and sold a pci card thinking it was pci-e.

I did use the correct slot, but i'm afraid the description on the card was wrong. So can you tell me what kind of slot does this card fit in?
