Hi guys,
I am confused about building a rendering system for Vray on 3dsmax
I read a lot about cards and cuda and opencl and do a lot of comparition between monster cards sli and 3way and so on,
I read that the rendering gpu solution using RAM too much, so as I read using one titan black 6GB is better than use two 780ti 2x 3gb
BUT..
since I am not very expert about hardware very well, I will put two config's and I'd like you to help me advice witch is better for my works (optics & light & raytracing):
and I have some quistions about combining cards together if you have some info to help please:
question:
can I mix two different cards from different makers? such as ati as main gpu and nvidia sli to use it for cuda?
if so, how about this configuration:
ATi R9 295x2 8GB or w7000 + 3way 780 Ti 3X 3GB
or
Quadro K5000 + Dual ATI R9 295x2 8GB
if it's not good to mix, how about this config:
3way 780 Ti
or
quadro k5000 + 3way 780 ti
or
3way Titan black
or
single Titan Z
my target of at all to get the maximum cuda counts with less spending of money.
any help would be thankfully specially with the final rendering time and ability to do the final render not show only at designing time.
Regards
