My 2TB WD passport is recognising folders and files on my computer but I can't do anything with them (I can't copy them or open or move them)
I have over 1.5TB of NEF image files (photography) and the passport seems to be dying, or is dead at this point. It took me 10 or more tries for the computer to even recognise the drive and it takes a few minutes to open folders, after which I can't do anything with the files. I have not been able to 'verify' or 'repair' the disk as a msg comes up along the lines of 'Files not supported' (sorry I didn't make a note of it and don't want to plug in the hard drive again in case I do more damage)
I've no idea what to do but desperate for advice as my 35,000 photos depend on this! Thanks in advance for your help!
