HDMI might cause problems

Hello;

I am thinking of buying an ips monitor, I narrowed it down to two options, LG 24MP56HQ or
LG 23EA53V-P, the first on has AH-ips panel and new features better than the second (which has older ips panel), the first one has vga and hdmi connections, while the later has vga + dvi + hdmi.

I have been reading on the net and testing on hdtv, the dvi is the best connection for any monitor brand, and the hdmi got problems with most monitors brands especially with nvidia rgb colors look washed out with no permanent fix.

So should I buy the first one and connect it to vga if problems appeared on hdmi ( I won’t be missing anything from dvi or hdmi?!), or buy the older model that has all connections?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Never had an issue with colour balance over HDMI, but then again, I did purchased v1.4a cable with gold connectors and my movies via AMD HD7750, look sharp on my Toshiba 42in OLED TV, no blurring, tearing etc.

Go for the new model, it should have any flaws in the old model corrected.

The monitors are fine, it is the hdmi connection with nvidia card that is the problem with any monitor most of the times. You have AMD card so you dont have any troubles.
