I am looking to build a Gaming PC which I can use for recording/editing and uploading game footage to YouTube. I will be connecting to a TV via HDMI. I want to be able to record at 720p and up. The games I wish to play and record are Arma 3, Dayz Standalone, Counter Strike series, Rust and Garry's Mod.
I have already chosen all of the components but i'm not sure if they're powerful enough. If there are any problems please let me know. Thank You

this is just the question for me! (youtube gamer)

the cpu that you choose scores 1000 points lower then mine:
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html
i have the i5-2320 (overclocked @ 3,7 GHz

this might be a smal problem but ill tell that later.

same with the GPU, it scores about 1000 points lower then mine:
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
i have a EVGA 660 Ti SC 2GB

case, motherboard, ram, hdd, psu, os, should all be good.

now for the problem, i currently record 1080P at 30FPS (the maximum on youtube)
but my CPU can just handle this, and your CPU is a bit lower then mine so i have my doubts, 720P makes my CPU use about 80% and sometimes 90%.

are you known with Geforce Experience? it's a program from Nvidia that is able to record your game, this program will use your GPU not your CPU to process the filming, i could record 1080P 30FPS with no lag on games @ ultra quality, so this might be your savior.

i hope i helped a bit, if you need more info or want my a more explained opinion just reply to this, also, IF you spend just a bit more money, upgrade your CPU if you want to use a recorder that uses your CPU to process.

I went with two choices for the GPU which I hope you will help me choose. EVGA GTX660: http://www.dabs.ie/products/evga-geforce-gtx-660-1072mhz-2gb-pci-e-3-0-hdmi-ftw-w--acx-cooler-96R8.html or the

MSI GTX660: http://www.dabs.ie/products/msi-geforce-gtx-660-gaming-2gb-pci-express-3-0-hdmi-twin-frozr-iv-oc-92X6.html?refs=4294945034-501990000-54140000&src=3

For the CPU: I chose The Intel Core i5-3570K @3.4Ghz: http://www.dabs.ie/products/intel-core-i5-3570k-s1155-3-4ghz-6mb-7YXJ.html

If you could let me know if these are viable solutions or not I would greatly appreciate it, Thanks

if you would go with the EVGA GTX 660 and the i5-3570K you would go past my performance, and i am able to record 1080P at 30FPS (the max for youtube FPS)
so you will be fine with recording 720P and up like you wanted.

however, you should know that the GPU and CPU use more power, i am not sure how much but i would also recommend getting a 600 or over 600 watt power supply, just to be sure and maybe for future upgrades, it will cost around 30 euro more but it will be worth it.

this will be a good and quite PSU and it will be able to handle future upgrades of yours.
