Solved

I'd like you to look over my little gaming build idea. Love to hear your feedback.

I recently scratched together a nice, compact, powerful PC build. Did i get this right? I'm open very open to feedback and suggestions.

I'll probably order this stuff from pc case gear.

Case: Silverstone SG09 Black Case USB 3.0

Motherboard: ASUS Gryphon Z97 Motherboard

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690

GPU: MSI Radeon R9 290 Gaming 4GB

RAM: Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3

HDD: Western Digital WD Blue 1TB WD10EZEX

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO Series 120GB SSD

Monitor: BenQ RL2455HM 24in LED Gaming Monitor

PSU: FSP Aurum Series 650W 80 PLUS Gold Modular

That's pretty much it.

Does everything look right?

Nothing's going to bottle neck?

Like i said, I'm open to suggestions.

On another note.

I'd like some reccomendations for peripherals.

PC Case Gear grand total: $1593 AUD
Most i'd be willing to spend is $1700 AUD for the PC alone.

Not sure how much some decent peripherals would cost.

Thanks for the help.

  1. If your getting the gryphon get the 4690k.

    Get low-profile ram.
  2. I'm not really looking to overclock. Any other decent motherboards you'd recommend?

I might overclock one day. But i'd like to save the money for now.
  3. This is a Micro-Atx system. Are there M-Atx versions of these motherboards?
  4. I missed your case ...Sorry.

  6. ASUS Z97M-PLUS. This one seems like a contender.

I'l look into these motherboards. See which one works best.
  7. Yes , I love the ASUS boards they are solid.
  8. So, is the motherboard the only thing you would have changed for this no overclocking gaming build?
  9. Yes , the case is real nice.
  10. Alright, suppose all i need now is some good peripheral recommendations.
  11. What ones?
  12. Not sure. I just need some decent gaming peripherals to go along with this new system. Good headset, Good gaming mouse, Decent keyboard. The basics.

I like a lot of thumb buttons on my mice.

I injured my left hand in the past. So movement on the keyboard is somewhat limited.
