Whelp getting a little tired of the 660 now, just isn't quite cutting it anymore. Its time to upgrade. My choices are sliing the 660's or getting a 770. SLI is a buggy ordeal which steers me away so I assume I should go with a 770. But how much vram should I get? Is 2gb still enough or should I get 4? I run two displays (not exactly 1080p, one is 900p and the other is 720p).

A SLI setup would probably give you better performance than a single 770 card, but at the same time increase power draw and (as you said) have the usual issues related with running more than one card.
It would be the most cost effective option since you have one currently, but I would still recommend the 770 over it.

Don't forget that despite essentially doubling the VRAM with two cards, you're still effectively only using the amount of one. SLI/CrossFire is super fun like that.

Is 2GB still enough? Darn, I hope so. Would 4GB be better? Absolutely.
Two monitors may eat slightly more VRAM, but at those resolutions it's probably marginal at best.

Honestly I'd rather recommend waiting for them to get their act together with the 800 series. It's taking a while but they will get there eventually.

4GB is wasted on a single card. That's really intended for SLI. I'd personally add a second 660.

Go for the 770 and get the 4gb.

That way you can SLI it when in a year or 2. The 4gb is essential.

I was thinking about waiting too but one thing though. The price for an 870 would be a hell of alot more expensive? If they'd be in the similar price range then I'll wait.

I would go a different route all together and get an r9 290. It only costs $359 and it comes with a $20 rebate and 3 free games. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

thats a good deal but would 750watts cut it?
cpu is amd 8350

Yes. That's more than enough.
