Asus HD 7850 on non-UEFI Motherboard

I have an ASUS HD 7850 and a non-UEFI Motherboard. when I use it I get what looks like artifacts, I don't know if it's because I don't have a UEFI motherboard, or if the card is faulty. If it's my motherboard, is there a workaround or anything?

Having a non-uefi mainboard has nothing to do with it . What are your gpu temps? Do you get artifacts only when you are gaming?

I get them from startup, I'm not sure how the temps are because I've not been able to install the drivers.
When I do I get a black screen after the windows startup animation.

Yea, I hooked up a 600W and a 750W to it, neither of them made a difference.
