Hola. I purchased a GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost on Ebay and paid only $60 for a *New* card. Come to find out it shipped from China and took 4 weeks to get here. Once I finally got it installed, the default core clock is set at 650 mhz despite the factory specs core clock at 980mhz.

Every time i try to overclock it above 800mhz in Afterburner the whole system crashes with BSOD.

Is there a way to verify that I actually bought a GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost. Am I doing something wrong? Did I get hoodwinked?

Thanks so much for your help!
Shane

Yes you got scammed. That is not a real 650. There is no such thing as 384 bit DDR3 VRAM. This is about the 10th post here directly related to that ebay listing.

Oh - for clarity's purpose - I have run GPU-Z and and thats how I know the 'default' core clock is set at 650 mhz. The screenshot I posted shows GPU-Z, Afterburner and Kombustor at default settings on my rig. Thanks!

somethings not right youve been scammed (china.....it happens) the gpuz shows gddr3 memory at 384bits when the 'real' gtx 650ti has gddr5 at 128bit. would there be a way to find out how many cuda cores it has? the 'real' one has 768.

That is not a stock 650ti card. the GDDR3 ram is wrong the Bus Width is wrong. Should be GDDR5 and 128 bit bus Width. Also in the ebay add is says its a gtx 650 2GB 384 bit DDR3 where it should be a gtx 650 TI 2GB 128bit GDDR5. Notify ebay and the seller and send it back.
