well they mayn use that board with a different bios set up for a model that comes with a card in it
that's between you and HP

if you get a card you want and put it in and it works then call me stupid and if it don't work then I tried to tell you so ..

I just wanted to point these things out so you can decide on what you want to do from there

like this one guy took his to a shop and after 5 cards he just put the one back in that came with it and it works.. but not the 5 the shop tried ..

all you can do is buy and hope
honestly , you need to get rid of that hp board and get one that will thak upgrades like the card ..

some models of store bought computers [dell.hp,acer,ect..] may come with a ''locked or fixed'' bios and may not allow you to change certain hardware as a video card.. this is done to protect them from undue warranty claims and refunds .this is not done to hurt you but to protect them. you really need to see if that upgrade has been proven to work in your model first before you invest money in it .. there are a lot of these threads here at toms to look at some models will allow upgrades and some dont.. and a lot of guys here say ya ya ya when is really no no no...it would be sad you spent $200 on a card that wount post after you installed it as most find out. then get told its your psu and you spend more and end up right back where you are now, but its up to you good luck..

you got to know the the boards in these computers are not like the ones we use to do custom builds witch are open to upgrading with in the boards compatibly . the bios is custom made for there design and just for the parts they authorize to be used on there computers

not to say it wount work but you may end up like this guy and others like him

and then like I tried to show this guy
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2220899/pavilion-2127c-desktop-run-gtx-750ti.html

but in the end it all up to you hp wants to sell computers that's how they make there money not upgrading you buy one you use it up you throw it away and you go buy there newest one to replace the old one . kinda like a bic lighter ..
your computer is only supported for what it came with out of the box anything other than that is at your own risk. and if you spend 100's on these upgrades and they don't work your just left holding the bag

good luck and I hope it works out for you

your pcie slot on that hp loks to be pcie1.0 todays boards are 2.0 or 3.0 but your issue is that your hp board do to hp may not accept any card as I tried to show above them boards are hp spec. with hp bios if that board did not come with any descent card out of the box it may not take one that's more powerful then the one hp put in it or allows in there bios these are not the same boards like we buy from asus or gigabyte asrock msi witch are open bios that's compliant to the lat5est motherboard standards .. now you may get a card and put it in and alls good but unless I was able to see it don't work and then turnaround and build something it will work in or return the cards for full refund or have a buddy to take it off my hands .. hp only guarantees what you got out of there box new to work -nothing else what vid cards does hp offer to you for upgrading from them for that model you got ?? I seen cpu upgrades I seen memory upgrades but when I get to video , nothing why is that??
newegg has hp graphics from hp but yet there not offered on your computers upgrade list
for me its kinda hard to spend my hard earned money seeing all this and then be left holding the bag , but then again it may work fine
