My dad took my RAM out of my PC aswell as the switchcard, I put them back in but now the PC boots up but there is not any power going to the monitors , mouse and keyboard, I have tryed resitting the RAM and also tryied clearing the COMoS or whatever its called, all with no luck, I fear I may need a new motherboard which sucks as my OS is tied to this one, any ideas would be gratefully recived!

Its a VGA switchard, manual says to put in second slot, no idea why he took it out, to get back at me for not clearing desk maybe, and I have checked the connections to motherboad, the fans all work fine and there are LEDs on the motherboard

Hi

I presume you mean a graphics card fitting in a PCI-e slot
You fit it in PCI-e slot nearest to processor
(As this has 16 PCI-e lanes while second slot often has 8 lanes so slower)

You should look up how to reset CMOS using jumper or removing lithium coin battery

If component Was removed or replaced without disconnecting mains power or switching off switch at wall socket or rear of power supply then motherboard or component removed could be destroyed

I cleard the cmos via the jumper and the battery, I have a feeling he took it out while the pc wasnt powerd on but he diddnt actually pull the plug out first or switch the power at the back, its not the graphics card its a very small card

Any one any idea what a VGA switch card is ?
a picture would help or make and model number

How many graphics cards do you have?
Is there a integrated graphics chip on motherboard or CPU ?
If an integrated graphics chip is the monitor LCD screen connected to motherboard
.
